Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
- Work in Labor & Delivery within an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift, 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
- Patient care focuses on laboring and delivering mothers, including high-risk obstetrics
- EMR system used is Epic
- Responsibilities include comprehensive care of mothers in active labor, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and supporting the obstetric team
- Must have all licenses and certifications active at the time of consideration; pending documentation is not accepted
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- May not exceed two years of cumulative employment without a 90-day break according to policy
- Flu and COVID vaccination documentation may be required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- High-risk OB experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Preferred: 5+ years of recent experience and at least 1 year of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the past 2 years
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
