The Nurse Practitioner in the Pain Treatment Service provides specialized care for patients with chronic pain, including children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities include clinical management such as injections, follow-up appointments, and phone triage, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have a master's degree in nursing, 3-5 years pediatric experience, relevant certifications, and strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Nurse Practitioner, Pain Treatment Service- Per Diem
Key Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to provide care to children, adolescents and adults chronic pain conditions.
- Accountability for care of patients with chronic pain conditions including Injections, follow up appoints and phone triage.
- Working 10-hour days Monday through Fridays including 4 shifts per month
Education:
- A master’s degree in nursing
- 3-5 years’ experience in a pediatric setting, ideally with a pediatric intensive care background
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Meticulous attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication skills, and superb collaborative skills
- A current MA NP license: Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
- BLS and PALS certification
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
