We are seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who can handle both pediatric and obstetric cases to join our team in West Virginia. This is a locums position offering a supportive work environment and a diverse range of cases. Position Overview Profession: Physician Specialty: Anesthesiology (Pediatric and Obstetric) Employment Type: Locums Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Job Description We are seeking an experienced anesthesiologist to provide OB call coverage along with pediatric cases. This position involves working in a facility with a NICU, catering to both sick and healthy pediatric patients. A general anesthesiologist who can handle a variety of cases, including pediatrics and obstetrics, is highly preferred. Specialty: General Anesthesiology (including Pediatrics and OBGYN) Start Date: 90 days from credentialing Contract Length: Indefinitely Shift Details: 3 FTEs with rotating night and weekend call Schedule: 0700 until cases are completed for the day. As cases are completed and operating rooms decrease, physicians are released incrementally until assigned call physicians can safely manage the surgical schedule. Work Details Call: Physician call assignments are scheduled equitably. Calls are assigned considering the number of individuals in a particular call pool. Coverage Needed: 2 general anesthesiologists daily per month. Patients per Day: Varies per site. Patient Population: Adults Department Description: As cases are completed, physicians are released incrementally until the call physician can manage the schedule. EMR: EPIC Hospital Bed Size: Varies per site. Special Procedures: Full spectrum of surgical procedures. The only transplant procedures performed are kidney transplants. Requirements Board Certification: Required State License: WV DEA: Required CSR: Required Certifications: ABA, ACLS, BLS Minimum Experience: 2 years as a general anesthesiologist who can handle pediatric and obstetric cases.
