Remote Reader Radiologist / Teleradiologist (MD/DO)Position SummaryThe Remote Reader Radiologist provides professional diagnostic imaging interpretation services from a remote location. This role focuses on accurate, timely interpretation of medical imaging studies across multiple modalities, supporting clinical decision-making while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and patient safety.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInterpret diagnostic imaging studies remotely, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other modalities consistent with training and privileges
Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality radiology reports in accordance with established turnaround times
Communicate urgent or critical findings promptly to referring clinicians
Collaborate with on-site radiology staff, technologists, and ordering providers as needed
Ensure compliance with imaging protocols, quality standards, and reporting guidelines
Participate in peer review, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and reporting
Utilize PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems effectively
Adhere to all regulatory, licensure, accreditation, and professional standards
Participate in scheduled shifts, after-hours, or weekend coverage as required
QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited diagnostic radiology residency program
Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred but not required
Board-eligible or board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology
Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted medical licensure in required states
Eligibility for hospital credentialing and privileging
DEA registration or eligibility, if required
