Unit Specifics: Number of Beds : 35 Patient Ratios :5-7:1 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Techs per census, usually 2-4 Type of equipment : Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCD’s, Bladder scanner Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend Floating policy: may be floated to other Med Surg depts. Patient Experience requirements: Rehab experience preferred Must have: Med/Surg or PCU experience BLS and VA License Preferred: Rehab experience Procedures performed on unit: Med administration to include IV’s, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration
