Locum Tenens Opportunity: Family Practice Physician Near Olympia, WA We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Olympia, WA. This position is available ASAP and will be ongoing, with a minimum contract length of three months and the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible, with an active Washington state license and a strong background in community health. Position Details: Specialty: Family Practice Start Date: As soon as credentialed Contract Length: 3 months, with potential for extension Shift Details: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 40 hours per week 8-hour workday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) No call requirements Optional Saturday hours available at an increased rate Practice Setting: Location: Outpatient ambulatory setting at a Community Health Center Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider Receptionist and other support personnel Mental health therapists, dietitians, and onsite pediatricians available at most clinics Local health care administrator for timesheet submissions Patient Population: Newborns to geriatrics Provider should be comfortable working with all age groups Providers must have experience working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees (interpretative services available on-site) Spanish-speaking ability is required for this role Responsibilities: Patient Load: Scheduled to see up to 21 patients per day Must be comfortable with a high-volume, fast-paced environment Department Description: Focus on family medicine, walk-in/acute care services, and chronic disease management Basic procedures such as injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care Skills Required: Must be able to hit the ground running 1-week ramp-up with onsite orientation, with the expectation to begin patient care by day 3 EMR System: EPIC (must have experience) Travel and Accommodation: Travel Logistics: Client will cover flight, rental car or mileage, and lodging expenses Requirements: Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible License: Active Washington state license required (non-licensed candidates will not be considered) DEA: Active Washington DEA required Certifications: Any additional certifications required (e.g., BLS, ACLS) will be discussed during credentialing; provider will be responsible for obtaining these if needed Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required Clean background with no history of malpractice Must have experience using EPIC Credentialing Timeframe: Credentialing: 2-3 weeks This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Practice Physician who is passionate about providing high-quality care in a community health setting.
