Job Title: Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Locum Tenens
Location: Southern Virginia
Practice Setting: Outpatient Primary Care with Rotating Specialties

Coverage Dates & Schedule:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed

• Duration: Approximately 9 months or more

• Schedule:3 days/week 8-hour shifts

• Call: None

Practice Overview:

• Outpatient-only setting with no hospital or ED call responsibilities

• Serving a diverse population: adult, pediatric, newborn, and geriatric patients

• Average Daily Volume: 20 patients

• Exam Rooms: 6

• On-site services: Lab, POC testing, phlebotomy

• EMR: Epic

• No OB care, trauma designation, or inpatient codes required

Required Clinical Skills & Procedures:
Adult Outpatient Care:

• Management of chronic and acute conditions

• No ICU/CCU care involved

Pediatric Care:

• General outpatient visits and newborn care

Basic Gynecology (preferred, not required):

• Pelvic exams

• Pap smears

Minor Surgical Procedures:

• Suturing minor lacerations

• Incision & drainage (I&D)

Mental Health:

• Management of uncomplicated adult behavioral health concerns

• On-site BH provider available for support
