Job Details:
• Level I trauma center emergency department position
• Patient ratios range from 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 during high volume periods
• Required to work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• May request one holiday off but cannot request both the eve/day after AND day of holiday
• Floating required to Pediatric ED when necessary
• No on-call requirements
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: State license, ACLS, BCLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH
• ENPC certification preferred
• Care for patients of all ages including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of approximately 250 patients with 100 beds
• 5 hours of non-billable modules must be completed before working
• Provide care for trauma patients, stroke patients, and cardiac emergencies
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and triage preferred
