Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position on a surgical unit, requiring a MD or compact RN license and recent surgical unit Med/Surg experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on a hospital-based surgical medical-surgical unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the unit
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic for electronic medical records
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult surgical patients
- Team-oriented environment with support from unit staff
- Local candidates are eligible for the same pay rate except where specified by facility
- Holiday schedule participation is required
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of two years of recent Med/Surg experience on a surgical unit
- Experience in facilities with 500 or more beds required
- Prior Epic EMR experience required
