What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location.
- Assist medical staff, patients, and visitors with directions and information while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any unusual activity according to site-specific procedures.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to address security-related situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
