ICU Float Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

Night shift: 11.5 hours with a 2:1 patient ratio. Must be available for holidays and weekends.

Job Description

The ICU Float Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the ICU, PCU, and Med Surg units as needed for patient safety. This role requires adaptability and a commitment to best practices in nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill patients with an emphasis on patient safety.
• Float between ICU, PCU, and Med Surg units as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and provide timely updates to the care team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid nursing license in the state of New York.
• Experience in ICU and Med Surg nursing preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
