Our facilities near Batson, Texas, are currently seeking qualified providers to join our team on a temporary basis. Job Overview: Provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population. Manage a high volume of patients in a fast-paced environment. Perform a wide range of emergency procedures, including intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, conscious sedation, fracture reduction, and laceration repair. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals. Shift Details: Enjoy flexible scheduling options with shifts ranging from 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a, and 9p-7a at the main facility. The freestanding emergency department (FSED) offers 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts. No on-call responsibilities are required for this position. Facility Information: The main emergency department is a high-volume facility, typically seeing around 115 patients per day. The freestanding emergency department (FSED) handles approximately 70 patients per day. Both facilities are well-supported with a dedicated team of nursing and support staff. The main facility has a higher acuity patient mix, with approximately 25% of patients requiring admission and 40% of physician-seen patients being admitted. The FSED primarily handles lower acuity cases, with an admission rate of approximately 5%. Ideal Candidate: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Proven ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
