An Interventional Radiologist is required to provide clinical coverage three days a week, performing image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, catheter placements, and injections for adult inpatients and outpatients. The role involves working within a trauma level 2 facility with support from technologists and nurses, utilizing EPIC EMR. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Interventional Radiology, preferably licensed in Illinois, and capable of performing a variety of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Coverage Needed
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
- 3 days a week, Flexible on what 3 days of the week
Clinical Details
- Number of Physicians/APPs in Department: 5
- Patient Population: Primary adults
- Average Number of Cases per day: Inpatients and Outpatients average is 4-8 cases daily
- Mix of inpatient, and scheduled patients
- Number of beds: 222
- Trauma level 2
- Support Staff: Technologists and RN's
- EMR: EPIC
Requirements
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
- Active IL License - Highly Preferred
- will consider IMLC LOQ as well as non-IL licensed providers
- Clean and easy-to-credential candidates - Highly Preferred
- DEA
- Required Procedures: Image guided biopsies and drainages, tunneled line placements, LP's, Myelograms, dialysis catheter placements, ureteral stents, power ports, Thoracentesis and Paracentesis, arthrograms and joint aspirations and injections
