RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on day shifts, 1:5 to 1:6 on night shifts
• May float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors as needed
• Unit utilizes self-scheduling with 4-week schedule periods
• Work with specialized equipment including BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis
• Assist with wound VACs in conjunction with wound care team
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Perform hourly rounding on day shifts, every 2-hour rounding on night shifts
• Maintain AIDET communication standards and update communication boards
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, and experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips
• Experience needed with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, multiple oxygen delivery systems, stroke care, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Peripheral IV skills required, peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes needed
• Participate in procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and wound VAC troubleshooting
• Required dress code: black scrubs
• Work with 3 techs when fully staffed on one unit, 2 techs when fully staffed on the other
