Per Diem Hospitalist PhysicianLocation: Central New YorkPay Rate: $150/hourSchedule Options: Day, evening, and night shifts available (six- and nine-hour shifts)A leading healthcare provider in Central New York is seeking a Per Diem Hospitalist Physician to join its Hospitalist Services team. This role involves delivering high-quality inpatient care in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner within a supportive and collaborative environment.Position Responsibilities:Provide professional medical care to hospitalized patients and coordinate appropriate follow-up after discharge.Conduct daily rounds on assigned patients within the Hospitalist Program.Complete a comprehensive history and physical exam within 12 hours of patient assignment and dictate the report within 24 hours.For patients admitted overnight, dictate admission notes on the stat line upon arrival.Respond to medical crises or significant changes in patient condition when the attending physician is unavailable, including timely consultation as needed.Position Requirements:Active and valid license to practice medicine in the state of New York.Unrestricted DEA and state registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances.Eligible for active medical staff membership and clinical privileges aligned with the role.Completion of Medical Staff credentialing process upon hire.Benefits Overview:Medical, Dental, Vision insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA) and 401(k) retirement planCompany-paid life insuranceTuition assistance and professional development programsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Discounts on healthcare services, pharmacy items, and select retailYMCA membership subsidy
