The Respiratory Care Practitioner plans, prepares, and administers respiratory therapy procedures and diagnostic tests, documents care, and maintains respiratory equipment in a hospital setting. This role requires specific licensure and certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with an associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory care and relevant experience. The position is full-time, onsite at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, with shift flexibility including nights and weekends.
Description
Respiratory Care Practitioner – Respiratory Therapy
Plans, prepares, and delivers a broad range of respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies. Documents all respiratory care on appropriate records. Inspects, tests, maintains, and operates respiratory care equipment. Completes patient billing.

We are offering employment at the following hospital locations:
- Covenant Children’s Hospital – Lubbock, Texas
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA approved school, or Bachelor's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA approved school in lieu of an associate degree and 1 year of experience.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
- Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- 1 or more years of experience
- Experience may include: Clinical portion of training program
Preferred Qualification:
- Coursework/Training: Flight Training
