The Internal Medicine Residency Program Director at Montefiore Medical Center leads the administration, education, and recruitment for a large medical education program focused on internal medicine. Internal Medicine Program DirectorMontefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine seek a physician with unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience to serve as Internal Medicine Program Director (Moses/Weiler campus). The ideal candidate is an academic physician with expertise in medical education and administration of a large and dynamic group of faculty and learners. The next Program Director will lead initiatives vital to the evolution of medical education, specific to our patient population, and foster a mission driven group of faculty and residents. The Residency Program Director is responsible for program administration and operations, and for residents recruitment and selection; education in the context of patient care; supervision; assessment, promotion, and disciplinary actions; scholarly activity; and for the establishment of an effective learning climate at all teaching sites. Candidates report to the Department of Medicine Chair and must possess the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex multidisciplinary environment, including working collaboratively across various divisions and effectively promoting the program within the institution and without.
