Counselor - Genetic

Opportunity to join a family-focused health system with career growth to obtain CGC within 12 months. Genetic Counselor role, full-time clinical counseling in pediatrics/general genetics at Memorial Healthcare System, Florida; permanent role requiring critical thinking and independent judgment. - CGC certification from ABMG or ABGC within 12 months (required) - Minimum 1 year pediatric or general genetic counseling experience (internships/rotations accepted) - Ability to work under stress and with minimal supervision - Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment - Patient- and family-centered care focus

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in pediatric or general genetic counseling, rotations and/or internships will be considered. Other Information: Requires a Certified Genetics Counselor (CGC) certification from the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) within 12 months of employment.
