We are seeking a Full Time Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Belmont Behavioral Health , a leading provider of acute healthcare services.

Belmont Behavioral Health System, a six-story, state-of-the-art hospital has 252 patient beds and offers high quality and specialized programming options for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who are in need of treatment that embodies true clinical excellence, and we are proud to offer the following levels of care:

• Inpatient treatment
• Partial hospitalization services (PHP)
• Intensive outpatient services (IOP)

Inpatient Services:

• Child Inpatient Program
• Adolescent Inpatient Program
• Adult Inpatient Program
• Adult Co-occurring Disorders Program
• Older Adult Inpatient Program
• Mood Disorders Program

Outpatient Services:

• General PHP
• General IOP
• Geriatric IOP
• Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Care Program
• Outpatient Psychiatry (for all ages)

Overview:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
• Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board Certified Psychiatrist
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
