Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Maryville, Tennessee 37804
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Step-down from ICU; no vents or pressor support)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770–$1820 per week
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• ER holding experience preferred
• Ability to float to other medical/surgical units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac procedures
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips (heparin, cardizem, amiodarone), telemetry, and initiate sotalol
• Perform blood product administration, central line and chest tube care, feeding tube management, and wound care
• Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more
• Float to qualified units within the hospital based on skill set
