Bridge Estimator / Project Manager – Louisville, KY
$140,000 – $175,000 + Benefits | Relocation Assistance Available
A well-established heavy civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Bridge Estimator / Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of DOT and municipal bridge projects throughout Kentucky and the Midwest.
This role is ideal for a hands-on estimator or PM with a strong background in bridge, grading, and drainage work who wants long-term stability, competitive compensation, and the ability to influence projects from bid through execution.

- Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 (based on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for bridge, grading, and drainage projects
- Review DOT plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing using digitizing and estimating software
- Support project management activities post-award, as needed
- Coordinate with operations and field teams during preconstruction and execution
- Assist with documentation, scheduling, and cost controls
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience estimating bridge or heavy civil projects
- Experience with DOT, municipal, or public infrastructure work
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience
Preferred Background
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid / HeavyJob
- Prior field or operations exposure on bridge or civil projects
- Understanding of billing cycles, pay applications, and project financials
