Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position working night shifts with current Idaho or compact RN license and ACLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
- Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Care is provided to infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Use of EPIC charting system is preferred
- Responsible for delivering patient care using established nursing processes and protocols
- Must respond effectively to life-threatening situations and rapidly prioritize care
- Should document thoroughly and maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
- Expected to participate in ongoing professional development and maintain clinical competencies
- Work may require flexibility for weekends and holidays
- No travel pairs or groups permitted for this assignment
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
Requirements
- Active ID or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Strong computer skills in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
- Must reside a minimum of 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 100 miles are not eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from facility for at least 1 year before applying
