Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 1:2 patient ratio maintained across all shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• 2 years of Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Float within service line when needed
• Care for 20-bed CVICU unit with 14 daily census
• Manage patients with acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, post cardiac arrest, complete heart block, cardiogenic shock, pre-heart transplant, arrhythmias, and ventricular tachycardia
• Perform ventilator management, arterial line management, pulmonary artery catheter management
• Operate specialized equipment including pacemakers, Impellas, balloon pumps, LVADs
• Administer vasoactive drips and manage central lines, PA/TVP catheter monitoring, dialysis
• Up to 2 time-off requests allowed, maximum 40 hours (5 days) total during contract
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• 16 weeks preferred contract length, minimum 13 weeks accepted

The organization utilizes Epic charting system throughout and provides specialized cardiovascular intensive care with state-of-the-art equipment and technology for complex cardiac patients.
