Job Details:
• 1:6 patient ratio maintained consistently across all shifts
• Every other weekend required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS
• Telemetry and IV start skills required
• Must have 1.5 years of nursing experience
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• 39-bed unit with daily census of approximately 38 patients
• Majority of patients are medical cases including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction
• Small surgical caseload of 1-3 post-surgical cases daily including gastric procedures, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy
• Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals is 100% required
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• First time travelers accepted
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position

The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
