The Medical Director in Geriatric Medicine is responsible for leading clinical care and supervising a team focused on elderly patient care within a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Key duties include developing medical policies, overseeing quality assurance programs, managing chronic disease treatment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role requires board certification in Family or Internal Medicine, geriatrics fellowship or certification, supervisory experience, and appropriate medical licenses and certifications.

This opportunity invites a Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with Fellowship training or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine to lead a vibrant team dedicated to enhancing care for the elderly population.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide general medical direction and supervision of participant care.
- Oversee clinical outcomes and the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, and standards.
- Supervise related Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and APPs.
- Collaborate effectively with local community colleagues and providers.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop medical treatment plans.
- Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Educate participants and their families on health maintenance and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and manage chronic disease treatment for frail older adults.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Stay adaptable to changing priorities based on participant needs.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Required)
- Fellowship-trained in Geriatrics or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (Highly Preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population (Required)
- Previous supervisory experience (Required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and essential software tools.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Desire to work in a creative, alternative healthcare setting.
- IN medical license (or willingness to obtain) (Required)
- Clean malpractice history (Highly Preferred)
- Controlled Substance (CSR/CDS) certification (Required)
- DEA confirmation prior to start (Required)
- BLS certification prior to start (Required)
