Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma night shift role, requiring a NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma unit
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Care provided to post-surgical and trauma patients on General Surgery/Trauma B3 unit
- EPIC EMR is used and prior experience with this system is required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Travelers may only submit to one position at this facility
- Competency testing may be required, with up to two attempts to pass for MS applicants with less than 2 years experience
- All call outs beyond three in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and missed shifts must be made up within 6 weeks
- Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
- Medical exemption for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
- Request for time off must be included at time of application
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of application
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in med-surg or general surgery/trauma nursing
- Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
- Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past year
- Must provide US Social Security Number (Canadian SIN not accepted)
- Applicants from specified local counties within a 50 mile radius are ineligible
