Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• Patient ratios of 1:5 (possible 1:6 based on acuity and available resources)
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Weekend requirement of 2 per 4 week schedule (may vary by unit depending on needs)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• New Mexico nursing license can be pending at time of submission
• Floating required to other MS/Tele, PCU and lower acuity settings within skillset
• Float to ED with 1:5 ratios when needed
• No on-call requirements
• Must be comfortable with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, stroke, trauma, and medical oncology
• Work with Phillips cardiac monitors and Cerner charting system
• Black scrubs required (not provided)
• Must be available for compliance work during first 1-2 weeks after signing
• RQI certifications will not be accepted
• Overtime must be pre-approved by facility and approval is rare
• No locals within 75 miles accepted
• COVID vaccination required with religious and medical exemptions accepted

This healthcare facility is a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital with 554 staffed beds, operating at over 100% capacity. The facility features a Children's Hospital component and provides comprehensive acute care services. The organization maintains strict compliance requirements and operates as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
