The Sterile Processing Instrument Technician is responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, inspecting, and assembling medical instruments in accordance with hospital and manufacturer protocols. This role requires accurate documentation and prioritization of instruments while adhering to safety standards and PPE use. The technician collaborates with healthcare staff to ensure all instruments are sterile and ready for use in patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Other: Basic computer skills
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must interact with staff and co-workers across a diverse range of disciplines.
Must be able to follow directions.
Must be able to operate equipment.
