Our client, a leading automotive performance and racing engineering company, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality & Manufacturing Engineering Department supporting NPI, Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
Pay Range: $43.27 – $57.69/hour
What’s the Job?
- Develop and implement inspection protocols for in-house components.
- Lead cross-functional teams for New Product Introduction (NPI) and corrective actions.
- Manage non-conformance processes and provide corrective guidance using UniPoint.
- Perform first article inspections, process validations, and maintain work instructions (APQP).
- Analyze quality data and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma projects.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Materials Science Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and test/measurement equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Minitab, and UniPoint, with experience in vendor management.
- Strong problem-solving, statistical analysis, and communication skills; ability to work independently and under pressure.
