We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into the financial management of a thriving mortgage business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, treasury management, cash flow analysis, and monthly reporting. This role will also involve ad hoc financial projects, annual budgeting, and real estate valuation. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial trends and strategies to facilitate data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, to provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
2. Oversee the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process, providing detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Manage treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, to ensure optimal liquidity.
4. Handle ad hoc analysis and special projects as required by senior management.
5. Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, aligning financial objectives with strategic goals.
6. Conduct real estate valuation and analysis to inform investment decisions.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve financial performance.
8. Maintain a thorough understanding of the mortgage industry, staying abreast of trends and regulatory changes that could impact financial performance.
9. Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decision making.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the mortgage or real estate industry.
3. Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury management, and cash flow analysis.
4. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Strong experience in creating and managing budgets.
6. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation, particularly in the context of real estate.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and financial software applications.
9. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
11. CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
