Certified Surgical First Assistant at Westlawn Surgery Center The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of a Surgical Technician Program.
- NBSTSA Surgical First Assistant Certification required.
- Two years of Certified Surgical First Assistant experience in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other skills and abilities: General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures in an operating room.
