Engineering Technician
Location: Greensboro, NC
Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site 1st Shift 7:30am to 4:30pm M-F
A growing manufacturing and engineering operation in Greensboro is seeking an Engineering Technician to support product testing, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and engineering projects on the production floor. This position is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, problem solving, and working closely with engineers to improve performance and reliability of component-level products.
What You Will Do
- Set up and operate test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation for product validation
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and performance testing to engineering specifications
- Record test results, measurements, and findings with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, or functional issues during testing
- Use SolidWorks and engineering drawings to support test setup, part checks, and documentation
- Install and monitor sensors, gauges, and data collection devices as needed
- Support engineering change orders, prototype builds, and product development activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused lab/test environment
Qualifications
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience setting up equipment, tools, or test fixtures
- Familiarity with hydraulics, fluid power, pressure/flow systems, or related equipment preferred
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and technical instructions
- SolidWorks experience required or strong willingness/ability to train quickly
- Ability to collect data, complete test documentation, and work within structured processes
- Experience with gauges, calipers, micrometers, or basic dimensional measurement tools
- Strong problem-solving mindset and comfort working with engineers and cross-functional teams
