Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for a 13-week contract
• Every other weekend requirement with patient ratios of 1:5
• Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• Floating required within skillset
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Active New York Single State RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility (locals not accepted)
• Dress code: Any combination of navy blue and white scrubs
• Provide emergency care for adults and geriatrics with all emergency diagnoses
• Clinical skills required: IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, triage
• Work with special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

This is a 528-bed acute care teaching facility featuring a state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency department with a centralized layout for rapid patient care. The facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, offering advanced diagnostic technology, a dedicated pediatric ED, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients. The hospital maintains affiliations with major healthcare networks and offers several specialized services.
