What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the store and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff and customers.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
- Interact professionally with store personnel, visitors, and local law enforcement as needed.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or security-related situations as they arise.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
