This role is for a General Medicine Physician specializing in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans in Houston, NM. The physician will conduct physical and medical evaluations, complete related administrative duties, and collaborate with healthcare teams. Candidates must hold an active medical license, have relevant certification, and be able to work independently within a 50-mile radius of Houston.
We are currently seeking dedicated General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our nation's Veterans.
The role can be performed either at a local facility or your own office within a 50-mile radius of Houston. Our practice is deeply committed to serving veterans and ensuring they receive the medical assessments they deserve.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments on a PRN basis.
- Conduct interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative work related to exams, such as submitting reports and addendums.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the exam protocols and procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication with the team and other healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Strong background in general medicine or related fields.
- Experience in conducting medical assessments is preferable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Active and unrestricted medical license.
- AANP certification.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
