Job Description
A client in West Palm Beach Florida is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist with expertise in both child and adult psychiatry to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders, providing personalized care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the overall well-being of our patients.
Required Qualifications
- FL medical license as an MD or DO
- Completion of an approved residency program
- FL DEA certificate before start date
- CPR certification
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Minimum of 5 years experience Preferred
- Board Certification in Psychiatry with a focus on both child and adult psychiatry.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a diverse range of mental health disorders in children and adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adults to diagnose mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
- Prescribe and manage appropriate medications, monitor their efficacy, and adjust as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to patients, as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in psychiatry and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
