The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), Houston, Texas seeks an energetic and skilled hematologist/oncologist at the Multidisciplinary Cancer Center. Candidates with clinical interest in hematology and oncology are welcome to apply; those interested in malignant and benign hematology are particularly encouraged. Michael E. DeBakey VAMC is a teaching facility affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine Department of Medicine and Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center. The physician must be a board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology.
Estimated salary: $290,000 - $350,000 commensurate with experience.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increasesPaid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
