Location: Whitsett, NC
Pay Rate: $16/hr
Schedule: 1st shift (6:30am-3pm, Monday-Friday)
Position Summary
The Repair Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and servicing of personal computers and related hardware to ensure each unit meets functional and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction by providing accurate issue identification, completing repairs efficiently, and achieving a high first-time fix rate.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on repair and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, and other PC devices.
Accurately diagnose hardware and software issues using established diagnostic tools and procedures.
Replace or repair defective components including motherboards, memory, hard drives, screens, and keyboards.
Verify successful repair and ensure all devices meet quality and performance standards before release.
Document repair activity, parts used, and test results accurately in tracking systems.
Follow established workflows and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) for turnaround times.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure tools and equipment are properly handled and maintained.
Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to resolve complex repair issues or process bottlenecks.
Support operations outside of the repair station as needed — including inventory handling, packaging, and device imaging.
Comply with all safety, quality, and operational standards established by management.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management, including Supervisors and Team Leads.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in PC repair, hardware diagnostics, or electronics troubleshooting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small components and precision tools.
Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and BIOS functionality.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, repair guides, and work instructions.
Reliable attendance and ability to meet daily performance goals.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as required to meet production demands.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
Experience with Lenovo products or similar OEM hardware.
Previous experience in an electronics repair or manufacturing facility.
