The Nuclear Med Technologist at Mercy Jefferson is responsible for assessing patient condition, administering radiopharmaceuticals, analyzing diagnostic data, and maintaining equipment quality control within the Nuclear Medicine Department. This role requires adherence to radiation safety standards and collaboration with medical staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient care. Candidates must hold relevant certification and have at least one year of experience, with additional education and licensure depending on the state of practice.

Directly reports to the Imaging Services Nuclear Medicine manager and Medical Director(s) of the Department of Nuclear Medicine. Responsible for assessing patients condition, evaluating exam appropriateness and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients. Additional responsibilities include analyzing computer acquired data, archiving images to PACS, performing quality control for all equipment, and adhering to radiation safety standards. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
Certification/Registration: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear (ARRT-N)
Registry Licensure: If practicing in Arkansas, a Nuclear Medicine Technologist License is required.
Other skills & knowledge: Excellent communicator in written and verbal format; ability to handle complex situations; strong team player
Preferred Education: Bachelors degree
