Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a long-term acute care setting, requiring a current NC or compact RN license and prior travel nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a long-term acute care hospital on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes long-term acute and med/surg telemetry cases
- Uses Epic for charting
- Day shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts (7:00 to 19:00)
- Weekend work required every other weekend
- Floating to like units within scope may be required
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- Applicants who have previously worked at the facility must have a one-year break to return as a traveler
- A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
- The system allows a maximum of two contracts; after two contracts, a six-month gap is required before returning
- Time off requests are subject to manager approval
- No on-call is required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required at time of application
- Prior acute care and MS/Tele nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Epic charting experience preferred
