Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift spinal cord injury rehab position requiring a KY or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in an inpatient rehab setting on the 10th floor neuro unit focused on spinal cord injury patients
- Primary patient population includes individuals with spinal cord injuries
- Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- 13-week assignment
- Provide specialized nursing care for a neuro rehab population with emphasis on spinal cord injuries
- Participation in CPI training onsite as needed
- Gaps in work history of 3 months or more must be explained
- All documentation and certifications must be valid and active at the time of submission
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in spinal cord injury or neuro rehab nursing
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required at time of consideration
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required (may be completed onsite)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required
- No hits on nursing license permitted
- Candidates must provide US Social Security Number for consideration
- Local candidates within 50 miles not eligible
