Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a critical access hospital with night shifts and a WA or compact RN license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work in a critical access hospital on a Labor & Delivery unit
• Unit manages approximately 300 deliveries per year
• Two nurses per shift, may also care for postpartum patients
• Patient ratios typically 1:4, occasionally up to 1:5 depending on census
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Weekend shifts may occasionally be required
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• Will provide care to both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum patients as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Scrubs are not provided; any color may be worn
• Level IV trauma facility with a daily census of 10 patients
• Housing recommendations are available upon request

Requirements

• Active RN license in WA or compact state required
• Minimum of 1 year Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Two professional references required at time of consideration
