Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to support a dynamic surgical team in a fast-paced perioperative environment. The Surgical Technician will perform scrubbing duties for a variety of surgical procedures, assist in preparing the operating room, and maintain sterile conditions throughout each case. This role includes preparing and maintaining sterile instruments and supplies, anticipating surgical needs, and ensuring equipment is ready and functioning properly. On-site housing may be available depending on availability.
Responsibilities- Create and maintain a sterile field for all surgical procedures.
- Inspect sterile items prior to opening to ensure integrity and cleanliness.
- Anticipate equipment, instruments, and supply needs before and during cases.
- Verify proper equipment functioning and operate mechanical, electrical, and air-powered devices according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Scrub independently for a wide range of procedures, including specialty surgeries such as trauma and sports medicine, without a sales representative present.
- Assist the RN with operative documentation, charge capture, and tracking of hardware used.
- Collect and verify specimens and cultures according to surgeon direction.
- Demonstrate accurate, efficient communication and collaboration within the surgical team.

- High school diploma required
- Minimum one year of operating room experience as a Surgical Technician or graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technician preferred
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross required)
- 13-week contract
- Varied 12-hour day/evening shifts
