ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking Locum OB/GYN Hospitalists to provide weekday and weekend coverage in a busy Level III facility. This role offers flexible 12- or 24-hour in-house call shifts, covering labor & delivery, OBED/ER calls, and obstetric inpatient care, with some gynecologic responsibilities. Providers will support a mixed-risk obstetric population with the assistance of CNMs, residents, and full hospital support services.
Dates / ScheduleShift Options:
24-hour shifts (8a 8a) or
12-hour shifts (8a 8p)
Availability Requirement: Must be available Monday Friday, with some weekends as needed
Call Details:
In-house call, flat-rate (no overtime)
Call ratio: 1:5
Call schedule released 1 2 months in advance
Restrictions:
No consecutive weekday 24-hour shifts (e.g., Mon Tue not allowed)
Weekend combinations allowed (Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, Sun/Mon)
Credentialing: days
Overtime: None permitted
Practice Setting: OB & GYN hospital-based, 24-hour coverage
Trauma Level: Level III
Onsite Support: Labor & Delivery, postpartum, OR, ER
Other Physicians: 4 OB/GYNs in the practice
APP Support: 1 2 CNMs
Residents: Typically present during call
Lab & Ultrasound: Available on site

Deliveries: per month on average
Admissions to Nursery: 2 5 per day
Risk Breakdown: 40% low-risk, 60% high-risk pregnancy
Triage and deliver Genesis OB patients
Manage OB/GYN ER calls
Round on inpatients
Care for no-doc patients ( 1 or fewer per day)
Perform circumcisions (optional)
Provide obstetric and gynecologic surgical coverage when needed
Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies
Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening)
Amniocentesis
Routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, decision-making for C-sections
Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiples, abruptions
VBACs
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Surgical gynecology (open)
Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (e.g., tubal ligation, LOA)
Operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovarian surgery, cystectomy, extensive LOA)
Board Certified in OB/GYNRequired (no FM OB)
