The Learning & Facilitation Specialist designs, develops, and delivers instructor-led and blended learning solutions to build workforce capability, leadership excellence, and cultural transformation. The role partners with HR and business stakeholders to assess needs, create scalable instructional materials and toolkits, facilitate workshops, coach leaders, and manage end-to-end program delivery and evaluation. Requires experience in instructional design/facilitation, LMS and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia), stakeholder engagement, and program/project management.
Overview
As a trusted advisor, the Learning & Facilitation Specialist partners with key business stakeholders and leaders to ensure learning solutions directly enable strategic priorities, drive cultural transformation, and sustain measurable performance improvement across the organization.
Location: Rolling Meadows, IL (Hybrid)
How you'll make an impact
The Learning & Facilitation Specialist plays a critical role in designing and delivering impactful learning solutions and experiences that build workforce capability, foster leadership excellence and support organizational culture and performance. This role combines your expertise in facilitation, instructional design, stakeholder engagement and program governance with a strong grounding in HR ad leadership practices, to create learning solutions which create capability uplift and drive performance.
Facilitation
- Deliver world-class facilitation that inspires, challenges, and empowers participants to apply new mindsets and behaviors
- Establish and role model facilitation standards that elevate the quality and consistency of learning experiences across the organization.
- Design and facilitate engaging workshops, training sessions, and learning activities (in-person, virtual, blended) which apply adult learning principles to create learner-centric experiences.
- Create inclusive learning environments that encourage psychological safety, collaboration and application of learning
- Equip and coach leaders to embed learning into daily practice, ensuring sustained performance uplift.
Instructional Design
- Architect innovative learning solutions leveraging adult learning principles, blended methodologies and digital platforms
- Design and develop enterprise-ready learning solutions, frameworks, resources and toolkits that enable long term capability development which are scalable across geographies and functions.
- Curate and customize scalable programs that address critical skill gaps and behavioral change
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with leaders and HR colleagues to identify learning needs aligned to organizational strategy and capability frameworks.
- Proactively influence ad challenge stakeholders to align learning initiatives with organizational strategy, capability frameworks and cultural transformation priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor on leadership, culture and learning initiatives. and stakeholders.
Program Coordination & Management
- Coordinate end to end delivery of learning programs including scheduling, participant communications and reporting
- Continuously evaluate and enhance program design to ensure relevance, engagement, and measurable transfer of learning.
- Maintain training documentation and resources.
- Proactively promote training programs, activities and resources to meet to build and reinforce a learning culture and to promote and share positive business impacts.
About You
Key Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience in instructional design or facilitation within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, leadership frameworks, and organizational culture drivers.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Articulate and Camtasia
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills across multiple levels of the organization
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Experience managing end-to-end learning programs, including vendor and budget management.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
- Experience with digital learning platforms and agile learning design.
- Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Cornerstone LMS, or similar.
