Location: Kerrville, TX
Seeking experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurses for a mid-shift role in a maximum-security inpatient psychiatric setting. This assignment supports individuals committed by the court to receive inpatient mental health services.
Assignment Details- Start Date: January 16
- Contract Length: 26 weeks (6 months)
- Shift: Mids
- Schedule:
- 5x8s | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 8-hour shifts only (no 12-hour option)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekends:
- Every other weekend required
- Every other weekend off
- Facility will try to schedule two consecutive days off when possible
- Approximately 4 weeks
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Orientation is required and conducted onsite
- Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Psychiatric experience required, including work in a maximum-security unit
- Preferred:
- 1+ year of behavioral health experience
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience
- Current AHA CPR/BLS certification
- Negative PPD within the past 12 months
- Ability to successfully pass:
- Urine drug screen
- State and FBI fingerprint background checks
- Complete immunization records meeting HHSC requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- COVID vaccination required
- Negative COVID test required prior to start
