This full-time position involves providing occupational or physical therapy services focused on pelvic floor rehabilitation for adult patients, including evaluation, treatment, education, and discharge planning. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams and compliance with organizational policies, with opportunities for clinical instruction and leadership. Candidates must hold valid OT or PT licensure, complete specialized pelvic floor training, and participate in administrative duties such as documentation and billing.
- OT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree , or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
- PT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree , or Doctorate Degrees from a physical therapy accredited program
PT/OT Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
- Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties
- Demonstrate appropriate communication , professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides , volunteers)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes.
- Work closely with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Compl y with organizational policies and procedures and the code of conduct
- Meet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice
- Work where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows
- May serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient care
Outpatient Pelvic Floor:
Completion of Herman & Wallace Level I certification, or an alternative advanced training approved by Essentia Health leadership (may work with leadership on a training plan if you are not currently trained).
Schedule would be weekdays between 7:00am - 7:00pm. No weekend or holiday rotation is required for this role.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:- OT License Requirements: Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist
- PT License Requirements: Current physical therapy license in the state performing services
