We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment near Prosser, WA. Opportunity Details Start Date: February 17, 2025 Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Call Only Coverage Schedule: Up to 3 weeks per month of 24-hour call coverage Option for 12-hour shifts several days per week Flexible scheduling tailored to your availability Patient Load: 5 8 procedures daily, including up to 5 elective outpatient procedures Average of 3 6 new inpatient consults per day Call Requirements: 24-hour beeper call Response time: 20 minutes Average call volume: 3 6 phone consults and 5 10 patients seen per 24 hours Practice Setting Type: Inpatient only no outpatient requirements EMR System: Epic (training provided) Trauma Level: III Credentialing: Temporary privileges available; expected timeframe is 60 90 days Skills and Procedures Required Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, variceal injection, and foreign body removal Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyps ERCP (preferred but not required) Small bowel biopsy and PEG placement Esophageal and lower GI endoscopies Additional Details Support Team: 2 RNs, 1 MA, and 1 NP/PA available No supervision or teaching responsibilities Licensing: Must hold a valid WA license or be eligible under the IMLC Certifications: Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology; ACLS required Travel and Lodging: Vendor-provided; nearest airports include Yakima Air Terminal and Tri-Cities Airport Why This Opportunity?
