Associate Attorney – Appellate Practice Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of relevant legal experience, ideally with exposure to appellate practice
- Exceptional academic credentials
- Outstanding legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
- Demonstrated oral advocacy and communication skills
- Experience drafting appellate briefs and dispositive motions
- Federal judicial clerkship experience highly preferred
- Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Must provide transcripts and a writing sample; references required before final interview

- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis for a wide range of appellate matters
- Draft appellate briefs, motions, memoranda, and persuasive legal documents
- Assist with and participate in oral arguments and appellate hearings
- Analyze trial court records to identify appellate issues and strategies
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on appeals involving diverse legal areas
- Stay up to date on developments in Florida and federal appellate law
