Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery travel position in California requiring an active CA RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• 13-week travel assignment
• Provides care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
• Provide direct nursing care and oversee all aspects of patient assessment, planning, and evaluation for mothers and newborns
• Coordinate and guide patient and family education as well as the activities of other nursing personnel
• Must be able to quickly respond to changes in patient condition and ensure a safe environment
• Local and travel candidates are both accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
• Completion of DCI/BVP training (Relias or similar accepted)
